Many bikers change at least the end-can on their motorcycle to a lighter, quieter and better looking option. Some bikers will replace the entire exhaust system on their bikes, removing catalytic converters to save weight, and increasing the bike's BHP, performance and noise. However, this can make a bike ineligible to receive a required kite mark – see below for more information.

IMPORTANT: In order for you to take out a policy, we need to make sure that all your modifications are CE approved (look out for a label that says CE) and kite-marked (that's the little double-scoop ice cream logo on your helmet). This means that they're legal for UK road use – some replacement features such as indicators and exhaust systems may not fulfil these standards.
