After being in touch with Demon Tweeks who supplied my Galfer discs, they advised Galfer offer a two year warranty and requested a few pictures of both the discs and the O.E spec brake pads to send to Galfer to look into further. I will update as soon as I hear back.
Taking the time to read through the most recent ‘Ride’ magazine with its famed ‘rider power’ survey, I was a bit suprised to see that the survey winner was BMW’s K1300S although it does appear to be quite a phenomenal bike and a well deserved winner. Following the sport tourer concept, it goes to show that people are shying away from all out sports bikes and towards big power but in a more pratical (and comfy) layout. Another note worth making is that 5 of the top 10 bikes are actually BMW’s – no doubt a big ego boost for the german manufacturer.
I was pleased to see that Alford Bro’s was rated as the number one dealer – being a regular user I can see why! Customer service, quality of workshop and rapid turnaround times certainly do it for me.
On a different note, I had a tough session at the gym and as I left the building I was met by the chill of the late evening frost which despite being cold actually felt quite refreshing. Firing up the Busa and becoming enveloped in vapour as the exhaust gases met with the cold air I accelerated away but instead of jumping on the motorway I hit the backroads and enjoyed an evening blast the ‘long way’ home. Roads were clear and dry and I was enjoying the cool air streaming through the vents of my Arai. For the next 40 minutes or so I could’nt think of a better way to wind down after the Gym. I got home feeling invigorated and refreshed and very grateful for the Hayabusa. Another pro for the bike, the amount of fun and adrenaline that you can access just on the journey home being on a bike is something that cannot be matched by a car.
