More than 2,000 people recently took part in a joint venture by Pierce Manufacturing and Harley-Davison Motor Company to support firefighters in the USA.
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) is an organisation dedicated to assisting firefighters and their families, and Harley-Davidson has donated a unique Fat Boy Firefighter Special Edition motorcycle to the cause.
Cruiser bike insurance customers can log on to the NFFF website to donate money and be entered into a sweepstake for a chance to win the one-of-a-kind motorbike.
Ron Siarnicki, executive director of the NFFF, says the foundation owes a debt of thanks to Harley-Davidson, saying its dedication to the cause goes "above and beyond the call of corporate philanthropy".
He goes on to describe the motorbike as "gorgeous the full package", calling attention to the unique markings of remembrance that adorn the giveaway Fat Boy.
The commendation comes soon after Demon's Cycle, a Florida company which sells custom parts for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, received praise for its involvement in children's charities around the country.
