A Harley Davidson insurance customer from South Yorkshire has shocked her family by announcing that she is to sell the house to fund a ten-year journey around the world.
Grandmother Sue O'Grady, 62, plans to use all the proceeds from the sale of her £200,000 six-bed semi in Doncaster to live life on the road for as long as she can, the South Yorkshire Star reports.
When Ms O'Grady was thinking about what to do after retiring from her job as a hairdresser, the Harley Davidson insurance customer decided she preferred her American muscle bike to her house.
Her sons were shocked to hear of her plans, but Ms O'Grady is determined to live her life to the full well into her seventies.
"I can travel a long way and see a lot of the world with the proceeds from the sale and if I can stretch the money out and make it last for eight or ten years so much the better," she told the publication.
Harley Davidson recently opened a museum at its factory in Milwaukee that celebrates the life of Evel Knievel, which is sure to worth a look for this globe-trotting granny.
