Honda BSB team to take on world series at Silverstone

Honda insurance customers heading to Silverstone for the World Superbike championship this weekend will get to see some other familiar bikes on the grid.

The HM Plant Honda British Superbike (BSB) Championship team is joining the grid to test themselves against the best in the class on the new arena circuit.

Honda riders Josh Brookes and Ryuichi Kiyonari are dominating the (BSB) series at the moment, with numerous one-two finishes this season and a hat-trick of wins last time out at Snetterton.

The racers are now looking to take on the World series, with BSB Championship leader Brookes insisting he is confident he can do well but he has no expectations ahead of the race.

"Between myself and Kiyo we have won eight races and had another several other podium finishes so far this year, so it will be a good experience to see how we compare to the world championship teams," he said.
