Kawasaki racer Simon Andrews to return in 2010

Kawasaki insurance customers may be pleased to learn that Superbikes star Simon Andrews has re-signed to the manufacturer in Colchester and is preparing for what he hopes will be a successful 2010 season.

After taking MSS Colchester Kawasaki to their best championship finish ever of sixth place at Mallory Park, Andrews is now looking ahead to an even better campaign this year, the Cotswold Journal reports.

The team is currently undergoing an extensive winter testing regime, with additional technical support from Kawasaki and a revised Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Superbike.

"I did speak to loads of teams but ultimately Nick Morgan (team owner) and the guys at MSS Colchester and Kawasaki UK treated me so well and we gelled straight away, so it was a pretty straightforward decision," Andrews told the paper.

In an interview with Motor Cycle News earlier in the year, Andrews detailed his plans for the off season, including a trip to Australia to ride in the King of Wanneroo meeting.
