Racer Dean Stimpson receives brand new Triumph

Fenland motorcycle racer Dean Stimpson has taken delivery of a brand new Triumph Daytona 675 triple, which he will take to the Triumph Triple Challenge at British Superbike meetings, motorcycle insurance customers have learned.

Stimpson, who recently took the MZ250 club championship with one meeting still to go, has been racing MZs for the last four years and only just missed winning the championship title last year, Cambs 24 reports.

However, this year his fortunes have turned around after he bagged five lap records for the class and put his rivals to shame - prompting his friends to band together to supply him with the bike and support he will need to continue next year's season.

Triumph insurance customers recently celebrated the news that the manufacturer's Street Triple and Street Triple R were voted joint-winners of Bike of the Year 2009 by judges at Bike Magazine.
