Yamaha insurance holder Wilco Zeelenberg has revealed just how much attention is paid to MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo when he is on track.
The Yamaha MotoGP team's manager Zeelenberg is responsible for identifying any faults out on the circuits and feeding it back to the engineers.
If the Spanish rider is drifting off-line or not leaning enough in the corners, this could signal a problem with the Yamaha M1's set-up that will need to be looked at, the Dutchman explains.
He added: "I'm looking to see what difficulties Jorge has in certain sections of the track compared to other riders.
"If he's fast and also faster than the rest then it's easy to see that he's going well."
Zeelenberg's job has become even more important since Valentino Rossi left for Ducati in the winter.
With the nine-time champion gone, the responsibility for driving forward the development of the Yamaha M1 has now passed to Lorenzo.
