Ducati insurance customers may see an improved performance from Valentino Rossi at the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend.
The Italian rider could only manage seventh place at the first race of the season, as his Ducati struggled to match the pace of the Hondas and Yamahas.
Rossi's shoulder is also a problem, after he had surgery in the winter.
However, the nine-time champion hopes that both issues will have improved in Jerez, with the bike benefitting from the data gained in Qatar and his shoulder improving after some extra strengthening work.
He said: "I've always liked [Jerez] a lot and we'll definitely have to try and do better than we have until now.
"For the moment, we'll continue working on the set-up, using everything we learned in Qatar, where we found some good solutions for the race."
Rossi has secured five race wins at Jerez during his nine seasons in MotoGP, taking to the podium for both Yamaha and Honda.
