Yamaha offers free gifts for test riders

Yamaha insurance customers who may be thinking of getting a new motorcycle can get free gifts just for taking a test ride, Yamaha has announced.

For testing one of Yamaha's new range, from the Vity 125 scooter to the 998cc YZF-R1, riders can receive a DVD featuring the best Yamaha races of 2009, and a t-shirt commemorating the three world championships won by the company last year.

In addition, testers will be entered into monthly prize draws for British Superbike tickets, as well as being entered into a grand prize draw.

One lucky rider will then win a customised YZF-R1, signed by the three world champions, and VIP tickets to the British MotoGP.

Valentino Rossi rode his Yamaha to victory again in the 2009 MotoGP championship, to go with victories for Cal Crutchlow in World Supersport and Ben Spies in World Superbikes.

The manufacturer also announced a ten per cent discount on apparel and accessories on February 17th. The offer is still available at the manufacturer's website until March 31st.
